Etsy Projects.

My sister and I are looking into things we want to make to add to our etsy shop. We want to keep with the theme of baby stuff.. And since our lives are full of babies, it makes perfect sense and is something we get to use as well.

Speaking of getting to use myself, I've started making crib sheets and changing pad covers. To do a little practice.. Or trial and error, if you will... I decided to make some for myself. I am thrilled with how they turned out and can wait to make some custom ones in the future.

The crib sheet.

And the changing pad cover!

I just love this fabric. It is perfect for my little man's room!

Nursery.

I finally took time to take more photos of the nursery. I have it pretty much how I want it! I've added a few things this past week or two and now it's complete. I'm sure along the way it will get rearranged some, due to how we need, but I'm very pleased!

So, without further ado...

View from door.
Love how his little reading/ play area turned out!

Closet. Plum full of diapers! And clothes and toys!

This deer cut out has been sitting on the porch for a couple of year!
We made a little stand for it! It is perfect for his room!

We got a glider, too! I definitely think that that was a great decision!

Had to kinda hide the basket of blankets! It is overflowing!

Even though we are still waiting on a quilt from mom, his little crib is perfect!
The little felt animals my sister made are so cute! Plus I love how the board turned out!

I kept this extra rocking chair in here in case dad wants to sit in here with us!
He'll probably want to steal the glider though!

And there you have it! Asa's room all ready for him!

Week 32.

Not much change since last week. Just continued growth! He moves all the time, which is a fun thing to experience! I can feel him stretching on me daily!

He is just slightly larger then last week weighting in at 3 3/4 pounds and 16.7 inches long! {Approximately, of course!} I went to the doc last week and he is measuring right where he should be! And his heart beat was 150. He's a healthy little boy!

My brother and his wife found out this week that they are having a little boy as well! We are so thrilled that Asa will have so many cousins so close to his age! What an exciting time in life!

I had my 3rd shower this past Sunday. I didn't get any pictures from the shower so there is not much to share! I did receive our crib from my sweet hostesses! It feels good to have that done and now we are almost ready for him to be here! I will get a mattress next time I go to town and get his bed all set up! For now this is what it looks like!

The rest of the room is not put together yet! I'm not sure exactly where I am going to put everything yet! I am also going to be building a bookshelf for all the great books I have gotten!

You can see the basket full of blankets for him! We have been so blessed with some sweet sweet gifts!

Receiving Blankets.

Much to my surprise I got some pictures taken yesterday. Here are a few projects I've completed for Asa's nursery.

I had got some of this flannel a while back, just cause I thought it was cute. Now I'm glad I had it cause it is perfect for our little man.

This was my first time to do a "self-binding" blanket. There was some trial and error, but it turned out pretty good!  I enjoyed making a little scene for the front. I am into simple, but I think Bobby wanted me to cover the whole thing with felt.

This is the back. I think that it is so adorable!

Here is the other one I have finished. This is more of what I usually do, a monogrammed name. Again. It is very simple, but that's how I roll! I love the little animals on this flannel as well!

I have made a couple things to hang on his walls. I found the inspirations from Pinterest, but I thought that I could save money and just DIY it! I am pleased with how it turned out!

I will probably display them different, but Bobby made that bugle/powder horn for Asa's room as well! I love that he is getting into the nursery, as well!

This was a poster that they have for sale on Pinterest. I had some canvasses laying around so I thought I would try my hand at a DIY project. It is definitely not as good as the one I could have purchased, but I'm pretty proud of it! I then framed it with some cedar scraps we had laying around the barn! {And please excuse the poor lighting, but you get the idea!}

Those are some of the successes I have done for the nursery. I am trying to get things marked off of my master list!
Slowly but surely!
