Bar.

One of my favorite things is getting things accomplished. And this time of year is slowing down a bit and Bobby and I have a little bit of time to get some projects done.

Bobby had been planning to make brackets that hold up the bar on our island. Well, they added the wood several months back and it's been propped up with a board for support. Now our board is gone and our bar is finished! Now all I need is bar stools!!

And Viola!!

p.s. Please excuse the mess on top of my island!

Going Campin'

Just wanted to stop in and brag on my husband a bit. He has been so busy and excited with his new projects. He found a jeep trailer a while back and now he is going to outfit it for camping and cooking out. He has a chuck box in the planning and been working on several other items to go along with it.

The latest one is a coffee pot hanger. Even though this is probably self explanatory, it is to hang over the camp fire. He has made a stand that you hang this on and you hang the coffee pot over it to make campfire coffee! This way all you have to do is pull down the lever and it will pour your coffee for you and you don't get burned. He's pretty cleaver!!

Since I've taken the pictures he has buffed it out and it's shiny and beautiful. He is so talented!

He has also made various S hooks and benches and stands for his chuck wagon.

Now let's go camping!

The Brindle Steer

Even though this title sounds kinda like a kids story book title, it is about the new addition to our house. When Bobby's PaPa passed away five"ish" years ago, Bobby inherited this Brindle Steer. I wanted to give him a name, but Bobby said they've always just called it the Brindle Steer from the old army camp. I think he looks regal hanging on our wall!!

Slowly but surely we are getting our new house outfitted with homey decor. It is exciting! And who knows, maybe I'll write a kids book about him... Someday!!

Happy New Year!

What a year it has been. I can't believe how fast time flies! 2012 has been wonderful.

We lost our little doggy, Ace. We still miss him. But we got a new little mess, Sage.

Bobby and I got to move into a new house! It is such a blessing! We love it!

And my niece, Gracen Kate was born. What a little angel!

That pretty much sums up our year. Nothing extremely huge or exciting, but a good'n!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
